You probably remember those night drinking coke and coding with brainf**k and wondering what could be cooler. Well, wonder no more, I have a solution!
You know how boring after a while is only to see your source code, those endless ><+-.,-characters… character after character, line after line..
Of course you can have fun with Brainloller for a while and do something like this:
(I’m not sure did I do this with Matisse, it was some time ago..).
But anyway, person has more senses. How about listening your code?
Can’t be that hard. We have 8 operands, so lets create some rules to change those operands to notes, like so:
Read a little bit about midi file format:
Write little piece of code (This was actually my introduction to Python, so not highly optimized…
And lets write a small hello world:
And see…ehem…listen what we got:
And lets test it on some other source codes as well:
This one has an artistic source code as well!
Operetta Towers of Hanoi (it has a slow start, but it starts eventually):
Thank you if you read so far and sorry about wasting your time. But I felt it is my priviledge, as I just wasted 4 hours of my time doing all this, so it is only fair if someone else suffers also 🙂
